Becoming a Wavie

Ruth Miller
Divisional Manager

Ruth joined us in 2015 as a divisional manager. Prior to joining Wavelength, Ruth worked for many years at Hudson New Zealand and for boutique organisations specialising in healthcare recruitment. 

How is Wavelength different to other recruitment firms you have worked for?

Firstly, It’s the recruitment that we do. Recruiting Doctors is valuable work, your activities directly affect and impact a community’s access to healthcare, everyday your recruitment makes a difference. That is special to me.  Secondly although we are a boutique we think big like a corporate and have access to expertise and support that other agencies do not have.

What are the key things which contribute to your success at Wavelength?

I work with an amazing team!  An exceptional brand and reputation in the market to leverage off.  Investment into my personal development and access to exceptional learning and development opportunities and tools for my team.

What do you enjoy most about working at Wavelength?

The people, they are passionate about what they do; they care and you feel valued. At last year’s Christmas party, one of the owners sat down next to me and thanked me for my contribution. That moment in time meant the world to me – it’s those little things that make the difference.
