Coaching & mentoring
All people managers at Wavelength catch up with their direct reports on a monthly basis at least. These sessions provide an opportunity for Wavies to share what’s on their mind, to discuss what areas they need support in and to receive feedback. A coaching template is used for these meetings as a helpful guide and to summarise any follow up actions.
Managers invest time pro-actively coaching others to set them up at an early stage in attempting new tasks and challenges in their role. We believe this will make the most difference.
We also have some informal mentoring relationships established that are adding significant value. A number of our senior recruiters are mentoring para consultants or junior recruiters and it is making a real difference and also building great relationships.
