Why we're unique

Flexible work programs

We have an excellent range of flexible working opportunities, which the majority of Wavies actively participate in, enabling individuals to work their hours flexibly between 7am and 7pm

Work from home

All Wavies can work from home, one day per week, once they’ve completed their probationary period. This is just another initiative that supports our genuine passion for providing our employees with work/life balance.

Part-time work

Part-time work options are available to Wavies to support their family, study and manage other commitments. 29% of our employees currently work on a part-time basis.

Paid parental leave

New parents can access 14 weeks' paid parental leave, an extremely competitive paid parental leave package, eligible Wavies* receive 90% of their base salary for the first six weeks and 50% of their base salary for the following eight weeks. This is independent of the government's paid parental leave scheme.

* Parental leave is available to both male and female employees who have completed at least 2 years continuous service with Wavelength once they will be the primary caregiver to their child.

Paid study leave

Wavelength is passionate about investing in the continuous learning and development of our Wavies. To assist in developing individual capability, Wavies can request study support and paid study leave for a range of courses related to their roles. We also offer one day of paid leave per subject per semester plus time to complete exams for courses approved by our People & Culture team.

Annual & long service leave

Long serving Wavies are rewarded for their commitment to Wavelength. Once employees have completed three years’ service they receive an extra day of annual leave and after four year's service their annual leave entitlement increases to 25 days per year.  After 10 years continuous employment employees are entitled to two months paid long service leave and one month of paid leave for each additional five years of service thereafter.

Wavie day

We know each and every Wavie has personal interests, commitments and challenges. Wave provides all employees who have passed their probation an additional day of paid leave per year called a Wavie day. Employees can use this day for whatever they choose; spending time with their family, to head away for a long weekend or to go to a concert or sporting event
