Living our new Wavie Values - Excellence, Ingenuity, Integrity, Heart 

Our founders Claire and John developed Wavelength’s mission and values when we were first established over 16 years ago. Although they have served us well, Wavelength has evolved considerably over that time and this year we felt we needed a review.

We wanted our mission to reflect our future vision for the company and our values to reflect the behaviours we view as important and unique to us. Together our Marketing and People & Culture teams undertook research into global organisations with inspiring vision and mission value propositions to gain ideas. We also wanted to involve our Wavies in the process and to ensure we gained valuable input into which values they feel are a true reflection of how we work and act at Wavelength and which make it both unique and a place in which they are proud to work.

After a thorough and collaborative company-wide review process, we have selected new values which we feel both reflect and reinforce our desire to go above and beyond in terms of service, with ingenious solutions, with integrity, but also with heart – taking pride in the fact we make a difference, collaborate and have fun along the way.

Day in day out

We are keen to ensure our values are recognised and demonstrated by our Wavies day in and day out. Inspirational talks from well-known speakers will be held every quarter both from within and outside the recruitment field, to provide inspiration for each of our new values.  The first inspiring talk was today – with Kerri Pottharst one of Australia’s most decorated indoor and beach volleyball athletes – a triple Olympian with two Olympic medals, shared her inspiring story of overcoming injury to achieve Olympic gold.

 Our People & Culture team is also working to ensure these values are incorporated into our business processes, policies and communications including our recruitment process, development plans and performance reviews.  This way we will ensure they are visible, continuously reinforced and infused into key practices within the business.

We will also seek regular feedback from Wavies and our customers to determine how well these values are being demonstrated in all areas of the business.

Our company values are now a true expression of who we are as an organisation and our workplace culture. We expect our Wavies to embrace these values to achieve our business goals, work collaboratively with each other and have a positive impact on the wider community.
