We are lucky enough to wear smart casual attire to work every single day. Although dressed casually, we are highly motivated and continue to deliver great results. This also removes any element of hierarchy and is very successful at promoting an open, transparent and equitable working culture.
We support a healthy lifestyle and recognise the importance of starting your day well. So toast, cereals, fruit, varieties of tea and coffee are available to all Wavies.
Wavies work hard so we arrange a regular visit from a wonderful masseuse for those who wish to book in. An affordable and super relaxing way to break up your day!
Keeping fit and healthy takes some effort; to help make it convenient we have a personal training program, yoga and pilates classes regularly available which is partly subsidised for all employees.
To recognise everyone's contribution, at the end of the week Wavelength provides a glass or two of wine, beer and bubbles for all employees. This provides a great relaxed environment to talk about your week and get to know some other Wavies. It's also another great introduction for new people and a chance to chat with those who you might not normally work alongside.
Not only do we provide our Wavies with extra annual leave, we also give our employees a 'Wavie Day' which they can use to do whatever they like... sleep in, have a long weekend, read a book, or go to the pub! We also provide volunteer days so that Wavelength employees can help by giving back to the community. It's a win-win all round!
Wavelength supports and encourages our collective interest in team sports, informal workouts, organised runs, and fitness events. We also encourage challenges such as the Fred Hollows Coastrek Challenge and the JP Morgan Run which we enter each year. We also alternate between entering either Sydney’s Colour Run or the City to Surf. Wavelength pays all entry fees and often Wavies train together at lunchtimes.
Wavelength has invested in a number of standing desks so that each desk pod has one for Wavies to share. A number of our Wavies have been trained by ergonomic professionals to ensure that all employees are set up properly at their desks for optimum comfort and safety.
Flu shots and skin checks
Free flu shots and subsidised skin checks are conducted every year, giving Wavies the chance to do this onsite at the Wavelength offices. This year Skin Patrol provided our flu vaccinations and skin checks.
Through our partnerships with key providers, Wavies have access to discounted Life, Income Protection and Health Insurance policies.
We understand that life can be stressful and we all go through difficult times. Wavelength has a confidential EAP program in place, which aims to support employees with any emotional, mental and general psychological wellbeing needs.
